Society for the Advancement of Social Studies
All the history you knew but forgot, and
all the booze you need to forget it again.

The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies (SASS), The Brooklyn Brainery, and Public Assembly are proud to present a series of free lectures designed to both entertain and enlighten. On the first Tuesday of month, we will discuss a different historical topic that you probably knew at one point but don’t remember anymore.

This will be accompanied by fun games, surprise guests, and most importantly THEMED DRINK SPECIALS from the good folks at Public Assembly, which everyone knows is the best way to ensure maximum knowledge gained.

Meet November’s…..Band, JUMBO BROWN!

Jumbo Brown
We’re so excited to have Jumbo Brown joining us during our extra special event on November 13, SASS: The Musical. As SASS founders Anna and Larissa share the history of American music with you, the red blooded guys in Jumbo Brown will be rocking out with the greatest hits of the last hundred years. These guys are pure American party rock, and we’re sure they have you learning, singing, and dancing all night long*.
